• Participation approval by your national BMW Motorrad Marketing Manager (according to approval form).
• Verifiable relationship with an Official BMW Motorrad Partner.
• Fluent English (e.g., TOEFL B1 English Skills) is mandatory to participate in the training course.
  Please be realistic when estimating your English communication abilities as at least an intermediate level of understanding of the English language is required for successful participation.
• Excellent motorcycle handling and riding skills.
• Experience as a tourguide / instructor.
• Motorcycle driving license held for at least 5 years.
• Valid national and international driving license.

• Please make sure that you meet ALL the before mentioned requirements.
• Please send us the completed approval form to info@bmw-motorrad-academy.com
• After we checked your approval form we will send you the registration form, which you then please send back to info@bmw-motorrad-academy.com
• As soon as we get the registration form, we will send you an invoice.
• Provide us with an ID picture (portrait, max. 1MB) and your T-shirt-size.

• Six weeks prior to the start of the course we will inform you if the minimum required number of participants has been reached for it to take place.
• If the required information is not sent back to us in time you will be removed from the participants list immediately.

Should the participant declare withdrawal of the contract, the following cancellation fee shall be applicable:

• In case of withdrawal up to 60 days before start of certification: 30% of the participation fee.
• In case of withdrawal less than 60 days before start of certification: 100% of the participation fee.
• After a withdrawal, in a future application the participant may be listed last.
• The course will only take place if there are at least 10 participants.

Please allow sufficient time for your visa application, as a non-issue will not be considered grounds for a free of charge cancellation. We can only provide you with a letter of invitation as soon as we get your registration form.

Your room-booking at the training-hotel is not made through us and not included in the certification-price.
We will provide you with information about the hotel where the certification will take place and you will be responsible for making the reservation and payment.

IMPORTANT:
Please contact the hotel as soon as possible so that you can reserve your room and stay at the same hotel, which makes things much easier.
For some certification programs, the alternatives are far away.

BMW Motorrad wants all certified tourguides / instructors always to be updated in the following skills:

• Knowledge about the products
• Knowledge about riding physics
• Knowledge about technology
• Knowledge about didactic
• Active riding
• First aid

Recertification means confirmation and guarantee of quality.

Everyone :)

All BMW Motorrad certified tourguides / instructors have to do the recertification.
You can see on your ID-card that your certification is valid for 5 years after that it's time for the recertification.

*Participants who have certified in 2022 / 2023 have to purchase the new labels and merchandise for 337,75 € (excluding VAT) until the end of 2025.

You have to purchase the new labels and merchandise set for the amount of 337,75 € (excluding VAT) for having an updated version of it until the end of 2025.
Therefor please send us an email to info@bmw-motorrad-academy.com with the following details:

• BMW Motorrad International Academy ID-card-number
• Name
• Address
• T-shirt size
• Picture for the new ID-card (portrait, max. 1MB)

Please note and understand that we will collect the details for the set from all the tourguides / instructors and will send it out twice a year.
Even though you might then have the new labels and merchandise you have to do the recertification:

• For certifications done in 2023 the latest possible year for recertification is 2028.
• For certifications done in 2022 the latest possible year for recertification is 2027.

If you do not sign up or do not pass the recertification your tourguide / instructor certification is not valid anymore.
Once you do the recertification you are again a certified tourguide / instructor for the next 5 years.

If you have done 2 or 3 certificates you have to do a recertification for all of them.
It is not possible to make 1 recertification and use that for 2 or 3 different titels.
